The view from the garden and bedroom windows is absolutely stunning. We have visited Domme, Sarlat, St Cirq Lapopie, many of the little villages along the river, enjoyed a river cruise from Bouzies, and enjoyed the Markets at Montcuq and Puy l’Eveque. Many thanks for the info when needed.

Le Pigeonnier – D & D, P & C, Lancashire, July 2018

Another tranquil and restful stay in the beautiful Le Pigeonnier. Just what we needed. We visited all our favourite restaurants and found new walks in beautiful villages. The weather has been superb and we have soaked up as much of it as we can before the return to an Adelaide winter.

We were delighted to return to Le Pigeonnier – we last stayed here in 2013 – and find everything as we remembered – but even better! We spent a lot of time just relaxing in the lovely surroundings – just enjoying the view over the valley. Now flitting down the road to La Loge and La Petite Maison for another week of sunshine and relaxation.

Comme d’habitude we have had a wonderful holiday at Le Pigeonnier and have caught up with all our old favourites as well as seeking out new experiences. Cuckoos and swifts have been very vocal and augmented the usual warm and generous welcome that we always receive. A real home from home with hoopoes on the lawn.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our extended stay here with sun every day.  Have visited our usual favourite places and Markets but have also discovered new areas.  Enjoyed the little beach area at Castelfranc to sit by the River and watch it all going on around us!  It has all been totally relaxing and we are always very grateful that we can return year after year to find new places, new wines and lots of lovely new venues to eat in!

It was so lovely to arrive here at La Garenne and see that it was just as beautiful as it looked on the Website.  We enjoyed huge late breakfasts and balmy evening barbeques outside under the canopy.  The children (aged 9, 12 & 14 years) loved swimming in the River (Castelfranc and Caix) and the total wipe-out inflatables at the Lake at Montcuq.

It is a very warm and welcoming place to stay and the peace and tranquillity was just what we required after a very hectic year.  The surrounding areas are so picturesque.  Loved the bric-a-brac Markets and the Restaurants have all been pleasant and welcoming.  Great stay.

We had very hot weather for the week and enjoyed lying on the comfortable loungers reading in the afternoons.  The table beside the bread oven was ideal for outdoor eating every day.  We look forward to a return visit, hopefully for longer the next time.
