We sat every evening in the dark by the wall of the terrace and listened to the owls hoot to one another and watched one fly right in front of us every evening at the same time. We have once again been very impressed, not only with the beauty of the countryside, but by the kindness and good manners of the local inhabitants who encourage me with my pathetic knowledge of French!
