This is the most peaceful and idyllic spot we have ever stayed in on our many holidays in France. The house is perfect, a proper home-from-home and the surrounding area is stunning. We loved the Market in Montcuq and also made the village our ‘lazy day’ coffee spot.

La Loge has proved to be a fabulous refuge as we shuttle backwards and forwards to ‘negotiate’ with our French builders as they refurbish the house we bought for our retirement. Thank you for providing such an immaculate and comfortable home from home.

This year we have been so fortunate as to be able to spend times at Le Pigeonnier throughout the seasons and for our final week our teenage grandsons joined us by way of an introduction to life in rural France … wonderful! Enjoyed a fantastic two weeks here in Le Vert – totally relaxing – an escape from the hustle and bustle of the world – magic! Nothing better than sitting outside enjoying the wonderful view as the sun sets and we enjoy the local Malbecs. We have really enjoyed re-visiting the places we discovered 3 years ago when we first came to the Lot.

As we come through Carnac and roll over the bridge towards ‘La Garenne’ we have the strangest feeling that we are coming to our second home. There is a wonderful sense of peace and also welcome but, although peaceful, there is always so much going on. All the small towns and villages exerted their usual individual charm and, as usual, we thoroughly enjoyed the Markets and Vide Greniers.

Our first visit ’en famille’ to this stunning place. We have had a very wonderful time enjoying the warmth of the Spring sun, listening to the birdsong and bees, and watching the lizards creep in and out of the rocks, and that is before we set off on our adventures. The perfect introduction for the children to France and we have felt absolutely cossetted by the comfort and style of Le Pigeonnier.
